OMG - Tankadin Lovin'

A buff to Avengers Shield - a serious buff!!

I have not confirmed this yet I Tank Stuff has reported that in the latest version of patch 2.4 on the PTR Avengers Shield won't hit crowd-controlled mobs. One Word ...

Just to clarify a bit, I don't play on the PTR. I didn't test anything. I just read the patch notes from wowhead.

It's clearly stated there :)

Someone has to read them :)

I rely on fellow bloggers to do it for me :P

I'm not sure I call it a buff. I call it a mechanic change in how AS will now work.

The change is in 2.4 when shield is throw at any group of mobs with some of the mobs in the group under CC effect, AS will NOW hit and chain to any other mob in the group as normal but avoid hitting the mob under CC effect. To me thats a mechanic change. However if you deliberately wanted to break CC effect now on a target in the same group and chain hit, you have to target the CC mob to be hit first with AS then it chain hit as it normaly do after it hits first target.

As to how that affects me using AS nothing has changed. It just mean using AS is now almost idiot proof. Takes more skill to use AS before the change that will happen in 2.4 as I see it.

Well, Yeah, I agree Galo it's more of a mechanic change than a buff. Although IMO it still has some buffiness to it :)

As for being idiot proof, I think the idiot-proofness should be more directed at the retarded mages who insist on sheeping just as you launch your AS even on the 80th time of asking that they wait until the pull has occured!

If your CC is a rogue, then I agree it takes away some of the skill, but also some of the bad-luck pulls that I have managed to do!!!
