Elder HolyWarrior (and EB)

Done!!!

Guild was despondant about helping anyone tonight (read: hardly anyone on and those that were were in an instance) so I did what I did for UP and Drak: I went to the instance and asked people who were already inside if they could invite me when they had finished.

As a back up I got EvilBastard to spam /general

EB got a whisper from someone who had completed the heroic 6 hours previously and HW got a hit from a very nice paladin on the first /w (I always whisper pallies first cos we is nice innit!!)

So HW is waiting for the group to finish and they wipe on Eck (The reason this has to be done in heroic mode - the elder is after the heroic only boss); so EB goes in with the person with the old raid ID (and gets saved - arggg) and finds the respawn are just a little too hard for an undergeared (undergeared if he was still 70!!!) warlock and a DK.

So EB is now saved to an old heroic ID and is unable to clear trash and HW's new friend downs Eck and invites him in. HolyWarrior follows his new friend straight to the boss (via the 'other' entrance to Guldrak) and gets his Elder title!!!

Eventually I manage to persuade a guild ret pally into coming along and help EB get the respawn killed. He wants to DPS and I want him to off-heal. He DPS's. We wipe. He decides he might heal the DK, we manage to single pull all but the 2 trolls at the bottom of the entrance drop (EB keeps one feared). We get to the elder and EvilBastard also has his Elder title - WOOT!!!

All done on both characters without having to worry about Love is in the Air achievement overlap!!

My Patch 3.10 Highlights

I spotted some patch notes for 3.1 over on Random Ravings which may or may not be true and are obviously open to change/deletion/etc but here are my highlights as they apply to my fave classes and in general...

• General: Dual Talent Specialization: Players can now visit their class trainers to learn a second Specialization. Specializations may be switched at any time as long as the player is not in combat, this will also change your character’s Glyphs, Action Bars and Talents. Specialization options can be found in the talent menu. Don't know what to do here Tank/Holy or Holy/Ret. Holy will be in there somewhere though!
• General: Potency Rating: Haste Rating, Armor Penetration Rating and Spell Penetration have been merged into a single stat. Each percent of Potency will decrease the enemy’s spell resistances and armor; it will also increase the player’s cast speed and melee attack speed. Wish I hadn't vendored all those Armour Pen quest rewards now :( Oops!
• General: A new bank slot is now available for purchase! WoW - Just WOW!!!
• Achievments: Removed “Brew of the Year” as criteria for the “Brewmaster” meta achievement. Thank Flock for that, I was just wondering last night if Blizz would do this . Happy Schizophrenic here!
• Paladins: Divine Plea: Now scales with spell haste, cooldown increased to 2 minutes, healing penalty removed. Woot!!! Well, until I realise that this is the most unlikely and really points to this whole list being a hoax!! :(
• Paladins:Exorcism can now be cast on any target. As if the previous entry wasn't enough - Hoax Hoax Hoax :(
• Rouges (sic.): Adrenaline Rush is now available to all Rogues at Level 30. Nice.
• Shaman: Ancestral Awakening: Range increased to 100 yards. What is this? The Res?
• Warriors: Whirlwind can now be used in any stance. WTF???
• Items: Frostweave Bag is now a 22 slot bag. Makes sense.
• Items: Creatures in The Barrens now have an increased chance to drop the recipe for Savory Deviate Delights. Oh yes baby - I have been on killing sprees with many differenty characters and have never looted this - get in there!!!

Retro Black Temple

Last night I logged on pretty late just to do the cooking daily and noticed some people were in BT. I asked if I could come along and got a raid invite. So off I popped and joined the other FIFTEEN people in Illidan's home.

OK, OK, most of them were level 80s!!

So in I go and hand in the quest to kill Illidan that has been sat in my quest log since before wrath. I had forgotten to hand it in after we killed him and didn't realise till after the raid reset; the guild never went back to BT. As you have to kill some trash to get to the teleport dude I was unable to get to the quest giver on my own, but now I have the upgraded medallion of karabor.

I nearly didn't as I was just going to fly off to BT, but I checked my bank and grabbed the medallion before I set off.

Once, that was out of the way we went and killed Reliquary, Bloodboil and Shiraz with 16 people. Then had a couple of wipes on the Council because we didn't have enough interrupts.

Oh well, we had fun and I'm nearly exalted with Ashtongue now and I got a nice tanking trinket with a roll of 100 and a healing necklace to replace my PvP Guardians one with a roll of 26 :)

OMG - They Killed Bolvar!

I can't believe it. At the end of the wrathgate chain of quests you get "Veteran of Wrathgate" achievement, although you have't really done much. As soon as you get it you are thrown into a cut scene which culminates in Bolvar Fordragon getting killed ... aww ... it made me sad.

Ding - 78!!

Oh yeah baby, I am level 78, flying makes quest so much easier!!!

Level 77

Oh yeah baby - COLD WEATHER FLYING!!!

Questing is also so much faster now that I can fly around I am 14 bubbles into level 77 already, I will raid one day!!
